Celebrities Share Secrets to Success

Tony Gerhart, of Stanford, talks about his mentors and influences.  He was named Gatorade's High School Player of the Year, and the Los Angeles Times.  He also plays baseball for Stanford.

 

Chima Nwachukwu, of Washington State University, talks about life at Wazzu.  Chima earned a varsity letter as a true freshman after starting each of WSU's 12 games. 

Matt Barkley, of USC, talks about his secrets to success.  Matt was the Gatorade National Player of the Year and the Joe Montana Award winner while at Mater Dei High School. During Christmas holiday in 2008, Barkley went with friends and family to help run an orphanage in South Africa.



Pete Carroll, of USC, talks about his secrets to success.  He focuses on improving from within, ignoring external forces that he cannot control.

Jim Harbaugh, of Stanford, talks about his mentors. Jim is a stellar man, and he has had a stellar career. He played for Bo Schembechler at Michigan before he played for several NFL teams including the Chicago Bears and the Indianapolis Colts.

Marques Tuiasosopo, UW & NFL, talks about his mentors. His father, also an NFL player, taught Marcus how to be a great player and a great person.

Taylor Mays, of USC, talks about his secrets to success.  His father played college football for the University of Washington, and pro football for the then St. Louis Cardinals and the Minnesota Vikings.

Ryan Tolar, of UW, talks about his mentors.  Ryan is from Pasco, WA, and he was heavily influenced by team captain, Juan Garcia, also from eastern Washington.

 

Dennis Erickson, of ASU, talks about his mentors and influences.  Dennis is a great man, and he has had a phenomenal career.  Teams that have benefited from his mastery include the Miami Hurricanes, the WSU Cougars, the OSU Beavers, and the Idaho Vandals.

 

Rick Neuheisel, of UCLA, talks about his mentors and influences. Neuheisel has also coached at the University of Colorado and the University of Washington.

Reggie Carter, of UCLA, talks about his mental toughness. Reggie graduated from Crenshaw in Los Angeles. His major is Sociology, and his favorite class is Economics.

Mike Riley, coach of the Oregon State Beavers, talks about his mentors and influences. Mike has coached the San Diego Chargers of the NFL and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL. He played college football for Paul "Bear" Bryant at Alabama.
